On Nov 4, Mr. Zhao Weiping, the Chinese Consul General to Chicago, delivered a speech at the luncheon of the 14th Annual US-China Trade Conference hosted by the US-China Chamber of Commerce.

      Consul General Zhao briefed the audience on the new reform and opening-up measures adopted by the Chinese government this year, underlining China's firm will in continuously pushing forward the process of reform and opening-up. 

      He said that China is embracing another wave of reform and opening-up, and there are many reasons to be optimistic about its future.

      Foreseeing new opportunities of the bilateral trade and economic cooperation to be created by China's further reform and opening-up, Consul General Zhao said that future development of China and China-US economic relations will exceed the imagination of many people.
