2016-02-06 06:05

President Sarah Orleans,

Honorable Mayor Chirico,

Distinguished Guests,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

      Good evening!

I am delighted to be here at the prestigious Dupage Children’s Museum and attend the opening ceremony for the Exhibit of Children of Hangzhou. Every time visiting a children’s museum makes me feel younger and brings back the fond memory of my happy childhood.

This exhibit is truly wonderful, which not only presents us the daily life and study of the children in China, but also showcases many aspects of China’s colorful culture and tradition.

In particular, this exhibit is presented in a very unique and interesting way, which gives us lots of fun. I’m sure kids will love it, their parents will love it and everyone will love it.

In this era of globalization, the strengthening of mutual understanding among peoples of different countries is critically important, especially for China and the US,respectively the largest developing country and developed country in the world. This exhibit has no doubt played a unique role in this regard.

I wish to express my sincere thanks to Dupage Children’s Museum and the Children of Hangzhou Advisory Council for their efforts in bringing this exhibit to Naperville. President Orleans and her colleagues have been working so hard to make this exhibit possible. Thank you, President Orleans.

I also want to thank Mayor Chirico for his strong support to the promotion of friendly exchanges between Naperville and China.

In closing, I wish the exhibit a great success and everyone a healthy and prosperous Year of the Monkey.
