Consul General Hong Lei Visited District Offices of Senator Ernst and Senator Grassley

On December 21, Consul General Hong Lei visited the district offices of Senator Joni Ernst and Senator Chuck Grassley in Iowa and met with their State Director Clarke Scanlon and Regional Director Adam DoBraska respectively.

Consul General Hong Lei introduced China’s cooperation with Iowa in various fields and the 19th CPC National Congress. Consul General Hong Lei said that China has been implementing comprehensive in-depth reform with unprecedented determination and will always commit itself to a win-win strategy of opening-up. A more open China will bring American companies more cooperation opportunities. The Consulate General would like to work with Senator Ernst and Senator Grassley, as well as the district offices, to facilitate the friendly ties and cooperation between China and Iowa.

Director Scanlon and Director DoBraska said that Senator Ernst and Senator Grassley have attached great importance to US-China relations and valued the long-term friendly ties and cooperation between Iowa and China. They would like to keep in touch with the Consulate General to expand cooperation with China in trade and economy, culture, tourism, etc..
