On May 16, 2018, Deputy Consul General Liu Jun visited the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he met respectively with Assistant Vice Provost and Director of Office of Student Affairs Kevin Helmkamp, International Student Services Director Roopa Rawjee, Associate Dean of the International Division Rick Keller, Associate Dean of Special Student Services Martin Rouse, and Director of the China Initiative Jerry Q.P. Yin. Education Counsul Zhang Shaohua and Han Wenjin also attended the meetings.

After briefings by university officials on the university’s educational exchanges and cooperation with China and their services for Chinese students in detail, Deputy Consul General Liu Jun discussed with university officials on efforts to further deepen the cooperation between China and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Both sides also had in-depth discussion on China’s “Safe Study, Successful Study Programs”.
