To follow the protocol of local authorities' directions to prevent the spread of Covid-19, and as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our visitors, we strongly encourage and suggest all applicants to postpone their visa/authentication applications & visits to the visa office during the Covid-19 outbreak. Please be advised that the office hour of the visa office of the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago will be temporarily adjusted to 9:30am-12:00pm, Monday-Friday (Excluding Holidays), effective from March 23, 2020.
In case of emergency, please contact us by E-mail chinavisachicago@gmail.com to set up an appointment of your visit. The E-mail shall include the applicant's name, a briefing of the emergency situation, phone number and category of consular service needed.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and be ready to take appropriate action. The above changes will remain in effect until further notice.
