Consul General Zhao Paid a Courtesy Call on Governor of Illinois Pat Quinn

On March 26, Chinese Consul General Zhao Weiping paid a courtesy call on Hon. Pat Quinn, Governor of the State of Illinois.

 

Governor Quinn welcomed Zhao to assume the duty of Chinese Consul General to Chicago and said he is committed to making Illinois the most friendly American state to China. He hoped to continue to promote the trade and economic cooperation between Illinois and China. He also welcomed more Chinese enterprises to make investment and more Chinese students to study in Illinois.

 

Consul General Zhao appreciated that Governor Quinn attaches great importance to the cooperation with China. He said that China is ready to work with Illinois to achieve more constant progress on the friendly relations and cooperation between the two sides.

 

Deputy Consul General Wang Shuying and Commercial Counselor Chen Guowen attended the meeting.
