CPC International Department Minister Holds Optimism about China-US Sub-national Cooperation

    Hon. Mr. Wang Jiarui, Minister of International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC) paid a visit to Missouri from December 6 to 7.

    During his stay, Mr. Wang met with Governor Jay Nixon and held roundtable discussion with the Media Institute of University of MissouriKansas City and exchanged views with Kauffman Foundation and local businessmen. He briefed the American officials and scholars on the situation of China's economic development as well as the potentials and prospects of China-US mutually benefit cooperation. With the concerted efforts of both sides, Mr. Wang emphasized, all-field cooperation between the two countries will yield more substantive results which will bring about more opportunities for the future sub-national cooperation.

    Mr. Wang's remarks were widely echoed and highly appraised by both Governor Nixon and other dignitaries who believed that Missouri will benefit from China's sound development and looked forward to sustaining and strengthening cooperation between the two sides in the days to come.
