On September 2, Mr. Zhao Weiping, Chinese Consul General to Chicago, met with Illinois Congressman John M. Shimkus, State Senator Dale A. Righter, State Representative Reginald Phillips, Mayor of Charleston Brandon Combs, Mayor of Mattoon Tim Gover and other local officials in Charleston, Illinois. They exchanged views on the promotion of practical cooperation between China and southeast Illinois.
