Consul General Hong Lei Visits U.S. Senator Michael Bennet's District Office

On September 6, Consul General Hong Lei visited U.S. Senator Michael Bennet's district office and met with Director Rosemary Rodriguez.

Consul General Hong Lei said that the friendly and cooperative relations between Colorado and China have been expanding in a good momentum in recent years, becoming the important highlight in the developing process of Sino-U.S. relations. The Sino-U.S. relations are significant not only for the two peoples, but also for the world as the bilateral relations enters a new phase. Consul General Hong Lei hopes Senator Bennet and District Office would continue to support the Sino-U.S. relations.

Rosemary Rodriguez said Senator Bennet highly values U.S.-China relations and appreciates China's remarkable economic development. The United States and China have maintained good and encouraging cooperation in the areas of trade and investment. The district office is always ready to work closely with Chinese Consulate in Chicago so as to further promote U.S.-China relations.

Deputy Consul General Yu Peng was present at the meeting.
